6-month Virtual DBT Skills Group

Starting Tuesday October 14, 2025

Weekly Tuesdays at 6:00pm - 7:30pm


Open to residents of New York and Florida

In this 6-month Virtual DBT Skills Groups participants will learn and practice skills in the four main areas: Mindfulness, Interpersonal Skills, Emotion Regulation and Distress Tolerance.

Group Objectives


  • Learn how to identify emotions, practice being nonjudgemental, identify different states of mind and practice use of your Wise Mind to make decisions.

  • Learn how to communicate needs to others effectively, practice validating others feelings and learn how to bounce back from self-invalidation.

  • Learn more about the function of your emotions and practice skills to change your emotional responses.

  • Learn how to identify when you are in a crisis, practice skills to reduce intensity of emotions and learn how to accept circumstances that can not be changed.

  • This VIRTUAL DBT Skills group is held on weekly on Tuesdays 6:00pm - 7:30pm.
    The group will review all four modules over the course of 6 months.

  • Click Here to schedule a 15-minute consultation to learn more about the group and determine if this is a good fit. All prospective group members must complete a 90-minute intake evaluation prior to entering group.

  • Clients in-network with Aetna may use their insurance benefits to cover group costs. I use Alma to check your benefits, click here to see your estimated cost for group therapy. Self-pay rate is $100 per session.

    Participants will also be asked to purchase a hardcopy of the DBT Skills Training Manual. This book contains all handouts and worksheets that will be reviewed in the skills group.

  • Mindfulness

  • DBT Skills Groups can be helpful for people with many diagnoses. Those with difficulty regulating their emotions, managing impulsive behaviors, those who struggle building and maintaining relationships could benefit from the group. Those diagnosed with anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, borderline personality disorders are common diagnoses that may benefit from a skills group.
